Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Khaled El-Dardali, President of the University; the leadership of Professor Dr. Hanan El-Nahas, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Shaimaa Abdel-Ghani Attallah, Acting Dean of the Faculty,
and within the framework of the role of the Faculty of Law – Zagazig University in community service and environmental development, and in activation of the Volunteer Work Week initiatives, a delegation from the Faculty conducted a visit to the Boys and Girls Care Institution in Heryat Razna Village – Zagazig, with the aim of supporting children and promoting the values of participation and social responsibility among students.
The visit was led by Professor Dr. Shaimaa Abdel-Ghani Attallah, Acting Dean of the Faculty, who was keen to personally lead the delegation and emphasize that the role of the Faculty extends beyond the educational process to include building students’ character, strengthening their awareness of their societal role, and enhancing their positive engagement with care and development institutions. She stressed that the Faculty is committed to supporting such initiatives that create a real impact on the lives of children and serve as a practical model of integration between the university and society.
The visit was attended by Dr. Nadia Ismail, Lecturer of Private International Law; Dr. Amir Samir, General Director of the Faculty; Dr. Islam Saber; and Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Moneim, in addition to a number of Faculty students and members of the Student Union.
Upon arrival, the delegation was received by the Director of the institution, who welcomed them and delivered a brief presentation on the institution’s role and programs. This was followed by an interactive session with the girls residing at the institution, during which conversations were exchanged in a humane and supportive atmosphere reflecting the Faculty’s commitment to providing psychological and moral support.
The visit included a variety of recreational and educational activities, as well as an open dialogue addressing the girls’ needs and aspirations.
Professor Dr. Shaimaa Abdel-Ghani Attallah affirmed that the Faculty will continue to strengthen its presence in community initiatives and that volunteer work represents a fundamental pillar in building the awareness of law students, reinforcing the values of justice, humanity, and social responsibility.
The Faculty concluded the visit as part of an extended plan for a series of upcoming activities aimed at supporting social institutions and reinforcing the University’s role in serving the local community.
