Participation of the Delegation of the Faculty of Law – Zagazig University in the Regional Forum on Clinical Legal Education

A delegation from the Faculty of Law – Zagazig University participated in the Regional Forum on Legal Education, held over two days—Tuesday, 12 November, and Wednesday, 13 November 2025. The forum was hosted jointly by Badr University in Assiut and Assiut University, in cooperation with Minia University, with broad participation from university leaders and leading experts in legal education development. The event aimed to strengthen the role of legal clinics and showcase universities’ experiences in teaching law by linking academic study with practical application.

The delegation included:

  • Professor Dr. Hani Kamal Gaafar – Assistant Professor of Islamic Law and Chair of the Department of Islamic Law

  • Professor Dr. Ihab Abdelrahman – Assistant Professor of Commercial Law and Director of the Legal Clinic

  • Dr. Ahmed Salem – Assistant Lecturer of Civil and Commercial Procedure

The forum featured high-level attendance, including:

  • Professor Dr. Hassan Al-Qalla – Chair of the Board of Trustees of Assiut University and Badr University in Assiut

  • Professor Dr. Ahmed Gamal El-Din Moussa – Chair of the Legal Studies Sector Committee, Former Minister of Education

  • Professor Dr. Mohamed Anas Gaafar – Secretary of the Legal Studies Sector Committee, Former Governor of Beni Suef

  • Professor Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy – President of Assiut University

  • Professor Dr. Mostafa Kamal – President of Badr University in Assiut

  • Professor Dr. Essam Zenaty – Vice President of Badr University in Assiut and Dean of the Faculty of Law, Badr University

  • Professor Dr. Dweeb Saber – Dean of the Faculty of Law, Assiut University

  • Professor Dr. Hassan Sand – Dean of the Faculty of Law, Minia University

Alongside a distinguished group of faculty deans, academic staff, members of the judiciary, the Bar Association, and key figures in the development of legal education in Egypt.

The participation of the delegation from the Faculty of Law – Zagazig University affirmed the Faculty’s and the University’s active presence and commitment to contributing to national efforts to develop legal education, strengthen academic partnerships among law faculties, and exchange expertise on best academic and professional practices.

The forum concluded with significant activities and recommendations that contribute to enhancing the quality of legal education programs, developing students’ skills, and improving the overall educational process within Egyptian law faculties.
