The first scientific conference of the Criminal Law Department at the Faculty entitled "A Jurisprudential View on the Draft Criminal Procedure Code"
The first scientific conference of the Criminal Law Department at the Faculty of Law, Zagazig University, was held yesterday, Saturday, November 30, 2024, under the title "A Jurisprudential View on the Draft Criminal Procedure Code"
in the presence of Professor Dr. Mamdouh Al-Muslimi, Dean of the Faculty, Professor Dr. Shaimaa Atallah, Professor of Criminal Law and Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, members of the Criminal Law Department, and faculty members and auxiliary staff at the Faculty.
The conference proceedings began with the opening session, which began with the national anthem, and included a speech by Professor Dr. Mamdouh Al-Muslimi, Dean of the Faculty, and a speech by Professor Dr. Shaimaa Atallah, Professor of Criminal Law and Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.
The conference continued its work through four dialogue sessions that included four axes as follows:
- The first axis, entitled "Multiple degrees of litigation... a guarantee or an obstacle", was presented by Professor Dr. Abdel Tawab El-Shorbagy, Professor of Criminal Law at the Faculty, and Dr. Mohamed Ayman, Assistant Lecturer in the Criminal Law Department.
- The second axis, entitled "The reflection of technological development on the draft Criminal Procedure Code", was presented by Professor Dr. Shaima Abdel-Ghani Atallah, Professor of Criminal Law at the Faculty, and the Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Dr. Shaima Fadel, Assistant Lecturer in the Criminal Law Department.
- The third axis, entitled "Successful Justice", was presented by Professor Dr. Ahmed El-Sayed El-Shawadfy, Assistant Professor of Criminal Law at the Faculty, and Dr. Doria Shafiq, Assistant Lecturer in the Criminal Law Department.
- The fourth axis, entitled "Rights and Guarantees in the Draft Criminal Procedure Code", was presented by Dr. Yahya Ibrahim Dahshan, Lecturer of Criminal Law at the College, and Dr. Saif Ghassan, Assistant Lecturer in the Criminal Law Department.
The conference concluded with the closing session, which included the results and recommendations that emerged from the conference, which were presented by Dr. Mohsen Fathy, Assistant Lecturer in the Criminal Law Department. The conference was concluded by Dr. Dina Moneeb, Assistant Lecturer in the Criminal Law Department.
The conference booklet will be issued electronically soon to include the jurisprudential opinions and discussions that enriched the aspects of this meeting on the draft Criminal Procedure Code.
